<h1>New information concerning pass_arena2</h1>

Captain's log, stardate 12th of May, 2026 (Year of our Lord),

The boys keep telling me I have a feminine voice and have taken to calling me cute. One of them has even started referring to me by she/her pronouns. I must find a remedy for this situation fast.

In parallel news, my studies of arena2's architecture has yielded new discoveries. I found an article (Grupico, 2011) that states Christian and Islamic religious structures have in common some geometric ideas, such as domes (sometimes large) and square bases beneath them.

Essentially, the square base is symbolic for the Earth (having four points like the four points of a compass) while the circle or sphere is symbolic for Heaven (being "perfect", secondary to formlessness, uniform, &c.). Additionally, in Christian structures, the octagon is sometimes used as a way to transition between the square base and circular dome, and so the octagon has become a symbol of transition from the Earth to the Heavenly.

Interestingly enough, some of this symbolism is also used in ancient Chinese thought (Ziporyn, 2020, Ch. 21). Syncretic thinkers may enjoy that trivia.

Now, arena2 is primarily square or cuboid shaped and this is especially pronounced by its four columns (gays) that rise into the sky. Also "square"-based (viewed in two dimensions that is its shape) is the middle, which turns into an octagonal shape. Furthermore, top-mid also has an "oculus" (architectural term for a window on a dome, although here it isn't used for a dome) through which the ball can permeate between its lower and higher sections. Then instead of having a domed structure on top of the octagonal shape, top-mid is open directly to the sky, which is in essence the same thing.

I had known that geometry and numerology were important to architecture, but the scope of its true influence always surprises me anew. I should add, a quite enjoyable surprise.
